How to play Blob Merge 3D
The official line is one sentence: slide, merge blobs, chase a high score. A longer rule set exists only in a September 2021 review of version 1.7, so I label that review as one source.
The loop: official summary and a dated review
Appysmarts, reviewing version 1.7 on 22 Sep 2021, says blobs fall from the top. Two blobs of the same value collide and become the next value, doubled. Stage targets start at 128, then 256, then 512.
That review names three tools: a color tornado that stirs the crate, a color change, and a merge that joins two blobs that are not touching. It also says the build showed a lot of ads. Voodoo’s store text never lists those tool names.
A 5 Jun 2021 App Store review by Jæ😀 reports removed numbers, blobs sticking to walls, added locks, and reaching level 186. A separate 30 Apr 2021 review by James Lamey reports a crash at 4096. These are two dated player reports, each with one source; neither establishes the current rules.
A visual key for early numbered tiers
Values 2 through 256 show up with stable colors in store imagery that Appysmarts republished: 2 crimson, 4 lemon, 8 lime, 16 sky, 32 royal blue, 64 magenta, 128 violet, 256 orange. Those colors are a visual key for this site, not a claim that Voodoo published a palette chart.
Past 256, YouTube titles use 2048, 4096, and abbreviations such as VG, UVG, DC, and SXD. Android Weekly’s November 2021 video walks through those large names. I list them as player shorthand. I do not have an official ladder that says what each abbreviation means.

Boss clips, and three cautious habits
Four YouTube channels — Pv Gameplay, Mix Games Mobile, Xiame Games, and MERGE FELLAS 2.0 — have uploaded “all bosses” videos. Voodoo never describes a boss. I mention the clips and stop. No boss names, no health values.
Three habits follow from the public loop, and they are habits, not an official guide. Keep matching pairs near each other so a fall can double them. Spend a color-change style tool only when a lone blob is blocking a match. Leave a gap under the danger line, because the 2021 review ends a run when the stack is too high.

Questions people ask
Is the max level 2048?
2048 is a tier players talk about. Videos also show much larger abbreviations. Voodoo has not published a maximum.
Are the three tools still in the game?
They are documented for version 1.7 in 2021. The current iOS build is 2.4.1. I cannot confirm the tool set survived every update from the store text alone.
Where is the high score compared?
App Store notes for version 1.7 on 16 Aug 2021 mention sound and comparing a score with the world. Later notes do not repeat that feature.
